Loop (band)

'''Loop''' was a Download ringtones South London band founded in Tera19 1986 by Cingular ringtones Robert Hampson and his wife. They are usually classified as a Pure Dee shoegazing band, however, unlike most shoegazing bands, Loop's sound relied more on Verizon ringtones Krautrock and Kori Kitten No Wave influences. Their songs usually sounded very harsh and repetitive, with undecipherable lyrics buried under layers of noisy guitar riffs. Some of the records featured covers of Nextel ringtones Suicide (band)/Suicide, Southern Kaley The Pop Group and Polyphonic ringtones Can (band)/Can songs as bonus tracks.

The band existed from 1986 to Kylies Secret 1991, released three Cingular Ringtones LPs, several b-sides/singles compilations and a recording of their softening influence John Peel sessions entitled ''Wolf Flow''. Their finest album, ''A Gilded Eternity'', sadly was also their last.

After the band split, Hampson played with david flores Godflesh, later formed effective starters Main (band)/Main with Dawson. dressing can Chasm (band)/Chasm is said to be his newest (through northern 1999) project. Wills and MacKay went on to form ager anne The Hair and Skin Trading Company.
